From this video, you will learn all the Mandarin Chinese personal pronouns in 15 minutes. In our daily life, we often use personal pronouns like I, you, he, she, we and they.

Learn Baisc Mandarin Chinese : "I dislike you" and "I hate you"

In the last video, you have learned how to say "I like you" and "I love you" in Mandarin Chinese. From that video, you learned the verbs " to like" and " to love" in Mandarin Chinese.

In this viideo, you can learn another two verbs to express your negative feelings in Mandarin Chinese. They are "to dislike" and "to hate".

From this video,you can review the useful sentence structure " Subject + Verb + Object " in Mandarin Chinese again to say " I dislike you" and "I hate you" in Mandarin Chinese.

Learn Basic Mandarin Chinese : "Greetings" and "Goodbye"

Hello, my friends! Happy New Year!
It's very nice to see you at the beginning of the year 2012.

In this video, I introduced several common Mandarin Chinese greetings and how to say good bye in Mandarin Chinese. I explained each phrase for you and demonstrated how to pronounce it word by word. Then you can easily remember each phrase and have better understanding for each Mandarin Chinese phrases.

There are three parts in this video, they are:

unit 3_Chinese Pinyin Rules and Pinyin Table

In this video, I introduced the pinyin table and listed 5 pinyin rules for you to master all the combinations in the pinyin table.

These 5 pinyin rules are:

Rule 1: "Consonant + Vowel" pattern
Rule 2: The exception to Rule 1 (12 vowels that can individually represent the sounds of Mandarin Chinese characters)
Rule 3: 9 "Consonant + Vowel" combinations with unique pronunciation
Rule 4: 16 "Consonant + Vowel" combinations in which the two dots ( ¨ ) above the vowel symbol ü should be omitted
Rule 5: Where to put the tone mark on the consonant and vowel combinations

Before you learn the combinations of the consonants and vowels in the pinyin table, you need to learn the Chinese consonant and vowels at first.

Unit 2.4_Pronunciation: Chinese Tones

This video is the instruction for pronouncing the Mandarin Chinese tones.

There are 5 tones in Mandarin Chinese: first tone, second tone, third tone, fourth tone, and fifth tone.
In Hanyu Pinyin, each of these tones has an individual tone mark except the fifth tone which is the neutral tone and has no tone mark.

In this video, you can learn that each tone has a unique pitch value process and characteristic. And also, you can practice the tones with me. If you want more practice, you can also watch the other video "Tone Practice".

You can review and pronounce the symbols of the consonants and vowels with me in this video in 2 minutes.

unit 2.2_Pronunciation: Mandarin Chinese Pinyin Lesson - Vowels

Hi, my dear friends! This is the Mandarin Chinese lesson about the vowels of Hanyu Pinyin phonetic system. Please study this lesson with the last video "Consonants" .

In the next video, I will introduce the Hanyu Pinyin Rules. In the next video, you will learn how to pronunce the Mandarin Chinese characters by the consonants and vowels.

I hope you can study these two lessons (consonants and vowels) well. Because it is the very basic knowledge but most important part for the pronunciation of Mandarin Chinese.

Please make sure that you can recognize and pronounce all the Pinyin symbols correctly .

For example, when you see the symbol "iu", "un" or "ong", you can pronounce it correctly without thinking.

Hope you can practice the vowels pronunciation as often as you can. Because to learn it well or not will have big influence on your Mandarin pronunciation. I hope you can have good pronunciation like native Chinese speakers.
